Beijing, April 22, IRNA -- The volume of trade exchange between Iran and China exceeded dlrs 20 billion in 2007, an Iranian diplomat said on Tuesday.
The trade exchange between Iran and four eastern Chinese provinces of Shanghai, Je Jiang, Anhui and Jiangsu, rose by 50 percent to stand at dlrs 3 billion compared with the previous year, Mohammad-Reza Nazeri told IRNA.
Referring to a dlrs 800 million increase in two sides' trade transactions, Nazeri said that the economic relations between Iran and China were growing.
At present, Shanghai and three Chinese provinces accounted for 20 percent of total trade exchange between Iran and China.
The major strategic industries in China including steel and shipbuilding, airplane, machinery and electronic industries are located in the four Chinese provinces.
