TEHRAN, Apr. 25 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iran's former reformist president Mohammad Khatami hinted on Friday that that he will not resume political activities. "I am retired," Khatami told reporters as he was casting his vote for the second round of the parliamentary election.
The remarks by Khatami meant that he will not run in the next president elections as some ordinary people and politicians speculate.
Khatami currently heads the Center for Dialogue among Cultures and Civilizations (CDCC) and the Baran Foundation.
In the recent parliamentary elections the reformist candidates used the term "Khatami allies" as their campaign slogan.
