Istanbul, Aug 4, IRNA - Iran's junior free-style wrestling team stood at the second place in the 2008 Junior World Wrestling Championships started in the Turkish capital, Istanbul, on Saturday.
During the two-day event, Iranian junior wrestlers won one gold, two silver and one bronze medals and stood after Russia while Georgia occupied the third place.
Masoud Esmaeili-Pour was the Iranian gold medalist in 60 kg category in the Istanbul tournament.
Other Iranian wrestlers Hassan Rahimi and Saeed Tavakkol in 55 and 74 kg, respectively, received the silver medals.
Komeil Qasemi in 96 kg was awarded the bronze medal.
The Istanbul 2008 Junior World Wrestling Championships, in which wrestlers under 20 from more than 50 countries had taken part, ended Monday evening.
