TEHRAN, Aug. 8 (Mehr News Agency) - Mohammad Khatami said on Thursday that he has made up his mind for next year's presidential election but he currently has no intention to reveal it, ISNA reported.
"I have taken my decision but now I have no intention to announce it," the former president told reporters on the sidelines of the fifteenth congress of the Islamic Revolution Mojahedin Organization (IRMO).
Khatami also rejected a rumor that he had had a meeting with former Majlis speaker Ali-Akbar Neteq-Nouri about presidential elections, saying, "Mr. Neteq-Nouri is among my close friends but (we) did not have a meeting on such issue."
Khatami and conservative-backed Netaq-Nouri were rival contenders in the 1997 presidential election, a competition which led to a landslide victory by Khatami.
