Press TV - Japan's Masato Uchishiba defeats Iran's Arash Miresmaeili in the Olympic judo games for men, preventing him from winning a gold medal.

Competing in the 66 kg category, Miresmaeili beat Poland's Tomasz Adamiec in the first round.

He lost Sunday to Athens Olympics champion Uchishiba and has become the second Iranian judoka defeated in the second round.

Iran's Masoud Haji Akhoundzadeh, who competed in the -60 kg category, lost to Korean gold-medalist Choi Min-ho.

Miresmaeili will be able to compete for a bronze medal if Uchishiba reaches the semi-finals.
