TEHRAN, Aug. 19 (Mehr News Agency)--Iranian futsal team was beaten 2-1 by world champions
Spain on Tuesday in the friendly match held in Tehran's Handball Gym.


Spaniard Fernando put the visitors ahead in the 15th
minute and Torras doubled the score in the 28th minute.
Mohammad
Hashemzadeh netted for the hosts three minutes after.

Iran is to play Spain on Wednesday again. Asian champion is preparing
for the 6th edition of the FIFA Futsal World Cup which takes place in Brazil
from September 30th to October 18th.

Captain Mohammed-Reza Heidarian bade farewell to Iran
national team at the end of this match.
Iran's
futsal legend Mohammad-Reza Heidarian bade farewell to international football at
the end of Iran–Spain friendly match on Tuesday.
Iran took advantage of having the pivotal player for
more than 10 years.

Heidarian who has played for Ceccano Calcio, a Serie
B futsal side, succeeded to win eight Asian Championship out of nine.
"It is a hard decision for me to part company with
the national team. I have so many unforgettable memories with the team
nevertheless I am so glad to end my career in the best situation." Heidarian
said.

Heidarian has been awarded the most valuable player
of the Asian Futsal Championship.
