TEHRAN, Aug. 27 (Mehr News Agency)--Iran's volleyball team has defeated India on Wednesday in the 14th Asian Junior Men's Volleyball Championship in Tehran's Azadi Gym.

Iran beat India 3-1 (26-24, 23-25, 25-12, 25-18) in the second round and topped the group. The host is scheduled to play Japan on Friday in the playoff round.

The two top teams will qualify for next year's World Cup.

Altogether 13 teams are participating in four groups in the 14th Asian Junior Men's Volleyball Championship from August 23-31.
