TEHRAN, Aug. 30 (ISNA)-Bolivian president Evo Morales will pay an official visit to Tehran September 1-2.
La Paz has announced that Morales' visit is aimed at boosting diplomatic bilateral relations with Tehran.
Tehran and La Paz resumed diplomatic ties in 2007 after Iran's president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad traveled to the South American country for an agreement on energy and trade.
Bolivia now an ally of Venezuela and Cuba resists the U.S. influence in the region.
Morales also has a two-day visit of Libya on Saturday and Sunday before flying to Tehran.
