Apply for a PARSA Community Foundation Grant!


PARSA Community Foundation is inviting nonprofits and student organizations to submit inquiry forms for its 2009 Norooz grant cycle by December 5, 2008. Based on a positive review, applicants will be invited to submit full proposals, due on January 9, 2009.  PARSA CF is keen on identifying and supporting innovative change makers in the following areas:  

  • Preservation and advancement of Iranian/Persian arts and culture;
  • Development of leaders through education and award systems; and
  • Encouragement of civic participation. 

A few examples of our past grantees' focus areas include:

  • Documentaries and other artistic programs with potential for broad appeal, awards and/or commercial success;
  • Micro grants for student-run or university-based organizations;
  • Youth leadership camps; and
  • Successful nationwide voter registration drives.

We encourage grant seekers to begin the inquiry process well in advance of the due date. The Foundation supports philanthropic initiatives that are sustainable, nationally scalable and reflect positively on the Persian community.
