Iranian company to buy shares of two private banks in Belarus

TEHRAN, Dec. 01 (ISNA)-Iranian company of Mobina Group seeks purchasing shares of two private Belarusian banks.

The company Chairman Mohammad Reza Ezadbin in a meeting with Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky said talks on purchasing the two banks are underway and "having reached an agreement on the project, we will start implementation of some other economic projects including building rubbish recycling plant and several commercial and residential centers in the country."

Also Iran's Bank Tejarat with initial capital of five million euros will open a branch in the country.

Over recent years Belarus has lifted economic activities with Tehran including oil exploration projects in Iran, production of Iranian car, Samand, and construction of commercial and administrative centers by Iranian experts in Belarus.

Belarus looks forward to selling shares of many of its private banks to foreign investors.
