TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- The Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema is
slated to honor the acclaimed Iranian filmmaker
Mohsen Makhmalbaf in France.

Makhmalbaf will receive
the event's Golden Cyclo of Honor, which will be the Makhmalbaf family's 100th
international award. The prize will be donated to the Iranian Cinema Museum.
The festival will also screen 18 films by Mohesen Makhmalbaf, his wife Marzieh
Meshkini and his daughters Samira and Hana, press tv reported.
The family has been awarded at numerous film festivals including Cannes, Venice,
Locarno and Berlin.
Director, writer, editor and producer, Mohsen Makhmalbaf is currently the
president of the Asian Film Academy. He is the founder of Tajikistan's first
film festival.
Makhmalbaf has received numerous international awards including the Medal of
Honor from the French Ministry of Culture and Arts and the Lifetime Achievement
Award from the 2007 Molodist Int'l Film Festival.
His Gabbeh was included on CNN's list of the Best Asian Films of all Times.
The 15th edition of Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema will be
held from Feb. 10 to 17, 2009.
