TEHRAN, Dec. 20 (Mehr News Agency) -- The winners of the
Sixth Image of the Year Exhibition were announced during a ceremony at the
Iranian Artists Forum (IAF) on Friday. Although the exhibit
was primarily non-competitive, young artists in the three sections of cartoon,
photo and graphic design, competed for the Mohsen Rasoulov Award during the
exhibit that was held at IAF from December 4 to 19.

At the
ceremony, Seifollah Samadian spoke of the continuation of the exhibit for six
years, which he said shows the interest of Iranian artists in holding such
events, and commented on the non-competitive nature of the exhibit.
"The latest edition
was received enthusiastically by artists who competed for the Mohsen Rasoulov
Award. Due to the large quantities of artwork on display, we were forced to
display some works on LCD monitors, over which many artists expressed their
dissatisfaction," he said.
Attended the
ceremony, Mohsen Rasoulov's brother Ehsan announced that in near future, the
Mohsen Rasoulof Cultural Art Foundation will be established to commemorate a
young Iranian photographer who lost his life at the age of 25 in an airplane
crash.

Actress
Fatemeh Motamed-Arya, Seifollah Samadian and director Kambuzia Partovi presented
the awards to the winners.
Atefeh
Khademorreza won the first prize for her film "Dragonfly's Dream." At the
Photojournal section, the first prize went to Mona Hoobefekr. First prize was
awarded to Babak Bordbar in the Social Documentary Photo section.
Naeim Ahmadi was awarded the first prize in the
Sport Photo section. First Prize in the Art and Artist Photo section went to
Nazanin Pir-Mohammadi. In the Other Look Photo section, Babak Kazemi won the
first prize.
In the Sport in Tehran City Regions, Payam Parsaii
won the first prize, the second prize went to Mohammad Nikuharf Maher and Amir
Talaii was awarded with the third prize.
Samaneh Haj-Rezaii won the first prize at the
Graphic section of the gala and in the Cartoon section, first prize went to
Shahin Kalantari.
