TEHRAN, Dec. 22 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iran football coach Ali Daei stated on Sunday that he is not going to resign from his job despite speculations of a rift with the football officials.
"I don't know where these stories come from. My resignation from my job is a groundless story and I want to continue my job," said Daei.
Asked about his scuffle with Ali Kaffashian, Iran's Football Federation (IFF) president, he said, "I've not seen Mr. Kaffashian for one month and the published news is not true. I will do my best in the national team and I am not going to quit until I accomplish the task," added Iran football coach.
Daei praised Iran's performance in the four-side Oman tournament. "We learned many new things in the event and should make use of the experience in the future," he said.
Iran plans to attend a training camp in Spain starting on Wednesday, Ali Daei added.
