Iran's Cartoon House is holding the International Gaza Cartoon Contest (by email) and displaying the cartoons on its web site in support of the people of Palestine, according to Mehr News Agency.

All the works displayed at the Tehran exhibition of Gaza cartoons will be available on this site, said head of the Cartoon House Masud Shojaii Tabatabaii, adding that all the Iranian and foreign cartoonists will be able to show their latest works on this site.

"Considering the recent continuous Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, many cartoonists asked to launch a site inorder to put their work on display," Shojaii Tabatabaii explained.

He also remarked, "We have received many requests from across the globe about launching sites in the coming year, especially from Brazil, indicating how much Christian artists are paying attention to the people of Gaza."

"The website is in the post-production stage and the works will later be published in a book," he concluded.

On Saturday Israel launched air strikes on the Gaza Strip whose citizens were already struggling with a humanitarian disaster due to a prolonged Israeli siege. The attacks continued through Sunday with Israel saying there is no end in sight for the operation.
