Iran's software exports to reach $60M this year

Tehran, Dec 30, IRNA - The deputy commerce minister anticipated on Tuesday that the export of software would exceed dlrs 60 million by March 21, 2009.

Mehdi Ghazanfari made the remark in his address to the second Conference on Software Export in Tehran, adding the export of software stood at dlrs 50 million during March 21-December 21.

He put the figure at dlrs 45 million in 2007.

Referring to the rising trend in the export of software during 1997-2007, Ghazanfari underlined that the average annual growth of software export was 8.5 percent during the said period.

He also added that Iranian software products are exported to Uzbekistan, Zimbabwe, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, Germany, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Tajikistan and Malaysia.
