TEHRAN, Feb. 2 (ISNA)-The fourth round of Iran-U.S. talks over Iraq's issue could be held next week, an Iranian official said. Everything is ready for the talks to be held but its final date has not been set yet, he added.
Tehran and Washington have already held three rounds of talks at the level of ambassadors over Iraq's security.
U.S. ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker has already said the fourth round of negotiations will be held next week in Baghdad.
Ryan Crocker last night declared he is ready to resume three-sided talks with Iranian and Iraqi officials on Iraq's security.
The meeting might happen in the next week or so, the ambassador said while noting he expected the dialogue to take place in early January as the U.S. announced it was willing to take part a month earlier.
Iranian officials may be prepared to revive talks and if so, U.S. officials will be present there and he is fully ready to sit down with his counterpart, he added.
A lower-level meeting of security officials will likely to be held prior to the fourth rounds of ambassadors meeting, Crocker added.
