Tehran, Feb 9, IRNA - Iran's gasoline storage capacity stands at 2.5 billion liters, said Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Derivatives Distribution Company Shahnazizadeh on Saturday.
Shahnazizadeh told reporters that national gasoline reserves are also 1.9 billion liters.
He said that in the first 20 days of the current Iranian month of Bahman (started Jan. 20), 1.65 billion liters of liquid fuel was offered to power plants, a figure showing a 500-million-liter increase compared to the figure for the same period the previous year.
Putting liquid fuel consumption of power plants in the first 20 days of this month at 1.9 billion liters, Shahnazizadeh said that shows 650 million liters increase compared to the figure for the same period last year.
Furthermore, in the first 20 days of Bahman (started Jan 20), 280 million liters of liquid gas, kerosene, kiln oil, gasoline and diesel were distributed nationwide compared to last year's 250 million liters a day.
Elsewhere in the interview, Shahnazizadeh said gasoline imports were 19.67 million liters a day on the average this year compared to 27.3 million liters a day in the same period last year.
He said also, average diesel imports this year was 6.5 million liters a day, showing 50 percent increase.
