Tehran, Feb 13, IRNA - The fourth round of Iran-US talks on Iraq would be held at expert level, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a cabinet session, the minister said, "The date of the talks would be announced soon."
Iran and US officials have so far held three rounds of talks on security situation in Iraq. The talks were held on May 28, July 24 and August 6 with the participation of Iran's Ambassador to Iraq Hassan Kazemi Qomi, his US counterpart Ryan Crocker and representatives of the Iraqi government.
Mottaki also said that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad would definitely visit Iraq adding that preparations have been made for the visit.
The minister added that President Ahmadinejad's visit would take place at the invitation of Iraqi officials.
Noting that the visit would have positive effects on
Tehran-Baghdad relations, Mottaki said that the visit will help promote Iran-Iraq economic and cultural cooperation.
