Iran wins int'l female taekwondo competitions.

Iran has taken the championship in the international female taekwondo competitions held in the city of Bandar Abbas in southern Iran.

The Iranian team won four gold, one silver and three bronze medals to come out on the top.

Azerbaijan and Lebanon came second and third respectively in the eight-category competitions.

Teams from Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Lebanon, Russia, India, Azerbaijan and Iran participated in the event.

The competitions were observed by representatives from the Asian Taekwondo Union and international federation.
