Recently we had the opportunity to see some interesting watercolor portraits of Iran's most well known modern poet, the late Mr Ahmad Shamlou (1925-2000) by Mr Hossein Bahmanpour who is from Shiraz. The exhibition was at the Banafshe gallery which is run by the lovely Ms Elahe Raeesdana who, herself a painter, does everything to help and promote young and unknown artists, mostly for the love she has for painting and art.

There were over 15 works with various background colors and showing different stages in the life of Mr Shamlu at the exhibition. We found the work interesting and enlightening and can only hope that Mr Bahmanpour finds new success in his work.
Here are some samples of his work for you to see.
The Banafshe Gallery is at Mollasadra, Shiraz Jonoubi, Bahar Alley no 50. Telephone 88034247
