TEHRAN, Jan. 11 (ISNA)-Iran's economy will grow by 5 percent in 2008, the World Bank announced.
A report released by the World Bank, has estimated Iran's economic growth in 2006 and 2007 to be respectively 4.3 and 4.6 percent reaching to 5 percent in 2008.
Investigating Iran's economic conditions in the current year and the next years, the Bank also predicted Iran's economic development will remain as to be 5 percent.
The bank expects to see Iran's economic development to be reduced by 0.3 percent reaching to 4.7 percent in 2009.
The report also suggests that the Middle East and the North African countries average economic development in 2007 have been 4.9 percent reaching to 5.4 and 5.3 percent respectively in 2008 and 2009.
The report also said that last year's global economic growth has been 3.3 percent.
