TEHRAN, Jan. 16 (ISNA)-There is no doubt that Kuwait regards Iran as its friend, the Kuwaiti foreign minister, Sheikh al-Salem al-Sabah said during a press conference with his Iranian counterpart.
Their visit occurred after Iran-Kuwait first economic cooperation commission was held in Tehran today and the two sides signed a number of economic agreements.
Iranian president's trip to Doha scheduled for taking part in the Persian Gulf neighboring states summit created a turning point in Tehran-Kuwait ties, al-Sabah said.
Kuwait is willing to boost its ties with Iran he said while expressing hope that a big jump in bilateral trade exchanges would be made.
Confirming Iran's view over creating a democratic Iraq he said that is the Iraqi government which should make required decisions and try to restore order to the country.
He continued to say Kuwait knows its friends and foes truly; it is aware of Zionist regime's crimes and regards Iran as its friend.
The two sides stressed on settling Lebanon's concerns based on consensus made between Lebanese parties and expressed hope the compromise made between the Arab League secretary general Amr Mussa and Lebanese parties is a good way to end Beirut-related problems.
Concerning Bush, the foreign minister Mottaki said since his remarks which came in an Arab country did not correspond to any logic or current regional developments, he after returning to Washington will be impeached by his party.
Bush should offer an apology to the Iranian nation over the unfounded and illegal charges he accused them with, Mottaki said.
