TEHRAN, Jan. 25 (Mehr News Agency) -- Five Iranian and foreign jury members will judge productions in the international competition section of the 26th Fajr International Theater Festival.
Iranian Saeid Keshen-Fallah and Farhad Nazerzadeh Kermani, Kuwaiti Nadir Al-qana, British Aleksandar Dundjerovic and U.S. Vilsoni Hereniko comprise this year's jury.
Aleksandar Dundjerovic, is a senior lecturer in theater at the University of Manchester. He obtained a BA degree in theater directing from the University of Belgrade, an MA degree in Drama from the University of Oklahoma and a PhD in theater studies from Royal Holloway, London.
Vilsoni Hereniko is also a jury member. He graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of the South Pacific. "Don't Cry Mama", "A Child for Iva", "Sera's Choice" and "The Monster" are books written by Hereniko and which have been dramatized in Fiji and other parts of the Pacific.
Nadir Al-qana is an art researcher at the national council of Kuwait. He writes plays and screenplays and also teaches at universities in Kuwait.
Saeid Kashen-Fallah teaches at the University of Tehran's College of Cinema and Theater and has directed several plays. He was the secretary of the 25th Fajr International Theater Festival.
Farhad Nazerzadeh Kermani gained a PhD in cinema and theater from Ohio State University. He currently teaches at several colleges. He has also written 19 plays, translated 50 plays into Persian and written many articles on theater.
The 26th Fajr International Theater Festival will be held in Tehran from February 1 to 11.
