Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Parronaud's Animated film gets 6 major nods
including Best film for upcoming Césars

Payvand.com - The nominations for the 33rd annual French Oscars known as Les Césars du Cinéma
Français were announced today to the press. The nominations were the result
of a secret vote by the 35 000 members of the Académie des arts et techniques
du cinéma presided by the producer Alain Terzian.
Persepolis the animated film by co –directors Marjane Satrapi and Vincent
Parronaud have been nominated in six categories ( Best Picture, Best Music
Score, Best Sound, Best Editing, , Best First Film, Best Screen Adaptation).
Olivier Dahan's La Môme known as La Vie En Rose in the US
distribution leads with 11 nominations including best Picture followed by
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (7 nominations).
The host of
the 33rd Annual:
Antoine De Caunes.
Both La
Vie En Rose and Persepolis are running at the upcoming Oscars in February in
Best actress ( Marillon Cotillard) and Best Animated film ( Persepolis
)respectively.
The
awards ceremony takes place in Paris on 22 February at the Théatre du
Chatelet ( France's equivalent of the Oscars® Kodak Theater, a day before
the Oscar® ceremonies in Hollywood. The host of this year's Ceremony will be
actor director
Antoine De Caunes.
