Press TV - Iranian swimmer Mohammad Alirezai has finished fourth in the 200m breaststroke event in Croatia, setting a new national record.
The Iranian Olympian clocked 02:21: 48 seconds in the short-course 200m, breaking his own record. Alirezai's former record was 02: 26:80
The event hosted by Croatia was participated by 13 countries.
The gold medal went to a Brazilian swimmer followed by a Turkish swimmer who won the silver medal. A swimmer from Slovenia stood in the third place.
Alirezai is qualified to swim in the 100m breaststroke in the 2008 Beijing Olympics for the first time in Iran's history.
He has broken Iran's national swimming record five times in the 50m, 100m and 200m classes.
