The Persian Empire
by Lindsay Allen (2005)
The WACA is pleased to announce a teacher
workshop on Persia for July 8 - 11, 2008 in Washington, DC.
This exclusive workshop will offer 20 teachers the opportunity to meet with
State Department officials, academics, and other Persian experts in an intimate
setting to gain a comprehensive understanding of Persia's politics and culture.
The workshop will begin on the evening of July 8 and continue through lunch on
July 11. Thanks to a generous grant from the
Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian Americans
(PAAIA), the only cost to the participants is the cost of their
transportation to Washington, DC.

Teachers who participated in our two previous workshops on the European Union
and Africa called the experience the best workshop they had attended. The
combination of the small group and setting in Washington, DC means that
participants have an opportunity to engage with our experts and each other in a
way that is not possible with larger groups.
