TEHRAN, June 8 (Mehr News Agency)-- Deputy Director of International affairs at the National Iranian Oil Company denied any discount on Iran's crude oil sale price in Tehran on Sunday. "Iran sells its crude oil on the basis of the official prices which are announced regularly month by month," said Seyed Mohammad Ali Khatibi.
"On the basis of the program (Iran's crude export program), Iran will be exporting at least 2.5 million bpd of oil in June," he explained while noting that the country's crude export program has not changed.
"If Iran had considered any kind of unprecedented discounts in its crude oil sale price, logically no oil would have been saved in the tankers," Khatibi added.
"Most of the extra-heavy crude oil produced in Soroush and Norouz oil fields will be sold in the frame of long-term contracts until the end of current Iranian calendar year (started March 20, 2008) so at present time we can't accept any new customer for our crude oil." he said.
