Golnar Tabibzadeh is one of Iran's most promising young artists. She is 24 and was educated at the Azad University of Tehran. She comes from an artistic family and has already had several exhibitions in Tehran and abroad.
We went to see her recent solo exhibition at the Mehrva Gallery where we found a new maturity in her work. She is one of the few artists who dares to name her paintings, and she is not afraid that the viewers may or may not like the names. This stems from a deep sense of confidence about what she wants to say and her medium to express it.
The exhibition is called "Memories of Others."
Golnar's work is expressive and in her large pieces several stories are told. She has the cleverness and talent to bring time into her work without overdoing it.
She told me that the paintings in this exhibition are all her impressions of people she has comes across or what she has seen and experienced.
We wish this beautiful, young and talented artist the best, and most eagerly look forward to her next exhibition.
Armineh, all the women that you are
Here are some photographs of her paintings which show her talent.
