TEHRAN, June 16 (Mehr News Agency) -- Some 272 films will compete in 16 sections of the 22nd Hamedan International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults, festival secretary Majid Shah-Hosseini said at a press conference at the Farabi Cinematic Foundation on Sunday.
Over 130 films from 39 foreign countries, including Argentina, Germany, the United States, Austria, Spain, France, Serbia, South Korea, Canada, and Croatia, will be screened during the festival, he added.
Representatives from foreign film distribution companies, educational centers, and UNICEF will be attending the event.
Jalal Maqami, Khosro Khosroshahi, Parviz Rafiei, and Afshin Zinuzi will dub the non-Persian language films simultaneously at the gala.
Jimmy Hayward and Steve Martino's "Horton Hears a Who!", Brad Bird and Jan Pinkava's "Ratatouille", Steve Hickner and Simon J. Smith's "Bee Movie", and Tim Hill's "Alvin and the Chipmunks" are some of the foreign animation films that will be screened at the festival, which runs from June 21 to 25.
