Iran scrutinizing G5+1 package with constructive view: FM

Tehran, June 29, IRNA - Iran is scrutinizing the Group 5+1 package of incentives seriously and with a constructive view, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said on Sunday.

He made the remarks speaking to reporters after the inaugural ceremony of the 17th session of Iran-Pakistan Joint Economic Commission which started in Tehran earlier on Sunday.

"Iran will give answer to the G5+1 package after examining the group's package of incentives," he said.

EU foreign policy and security chief, Javier Solana, presented the package of incentives to Iran during his visit to Tehran earlier in June.

Noting that the G5+1 member states have, in turn, studied Iran's package of proposals with a positive view, Mottaki expressed hope that exchange of the two packages would pave the way for more progressive talks in the future.

Iran will respond to EU package in due time

Tehran, June 29, IRNA - Iran is studying the incentives package by Group 5+1 and it will respond to it in due time, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said on Sunday.

Asked by the reporters about the time of Iran's reply, Reza Aqazadeh said, "We are examining the package, so when we conclude the studies, it will be the time for reply.

Asked about the imposed sanctions against Iran by the European Union, Aqazadeh added that he is not willing to talk about it for the time being.

He promised the reporters to brief them on the incentives package by G5+1 to Iran and the Iranian proposed package to G5+1 later on.
