Iran to export gas to EU via Croatia

Belgrade, March 5, IRNA - Iran's ambassador to Croatia Mohammad- Hassan Fadaiefard says Iran's gas will be exported to the European Union via Croatia.

The latest edition of Zagreb-based weekly 'National' quoted Fadaiefard as saying that Iran has made a proposal to Croatia to set up a terminal and lay pipelines to transfer Iran's gas to Austria and Switzerland.

Fadaiefard said that based on agreement Iran will export dlrs 25 billion worth gas to Austria and a similar contract, valued dlrs 30 billion, is to be signed with Switzerland.

He also pointed to Iran-Croatia cooperation in tourism and said the two sides can prepare the ground for exchange of visits to their cities.

He also urged sharing tourism experience with Croatia.

He added that Iran welcomes investment in its economic and industrial sectors by all interested countries.

The diplomat also urged mutual shipping and fishing cooperation with Croatia.
