payvand.com - Documentaries about Iranian Carpet made by 15 Iranian directors went on screen in Tehran at Farhang cinema's mono-session in mid February.

The screening of Iranian Carpet, at the 22:15 session, was done without any advertisement beforehand, according to cinema correspondent of Iranian Students News Agency, ISNA.

The movie is a collection of 15 documentaries made by 15 Iranian well-known directors.

The collection includes: A handicraft dedicated to a friend by Majid Majidi, The Talking Carpet by Bahram Bayza'i, Life Tree by Abbas Kiarostami, Angel and Carpet by Dariush Mehrju'i, 3D Carpet by Rakhshan Banietemad, Carpet, Turkman Horse by Khosro Sina'i, Memory Memory… by Reza Mirkarimi, Tribal Carpet by Behrooz Afkhami, Little Prince by Noor al-Din Zarinkelk, Carpet and Life by Bahman Farmanara, Not For Sale by Seifollah Daad, Ordered By Agha Seyyed Reza by Mojtaba Ra'i, Trouble Shooter by Jafar Panahi, The Earth Carpet by Kamal Tabrizi and Certified Copy by Mohammad Reza Honarmand.

The movie is produced by Reza Mirkarimi and ordered by National Carpet Centre of Iran; it pictures the views of 15 Iranian film directors on Iranian carpet.

Majid Majidi, one of the directors, in a ceremony which was held for him in Tehran Museum of Contemporary Arts, said: If these documentaries were screened without titles and credits, the audience could have recognised which film belongs to whom.

This documentary was first screened last year in the 25^th International Fajr film Festival.
