Tehran, March 12, IRNA - Iranian and Indonesian petrochemical officials signed a letter of understanding on Wednesday for making joint investment in production of Ethan and liquid gas.
The document was inked on the sidelines of a visit to Iran by Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono of Indonesia who paid a three-day visit to Iran and left here for Dakar, Senegal, Wednesday morning to attend Summit of leaders of the Organization of the Islamic Conference in the African country.
President Yudhoyono headed a high-ranking economic and political delegation from Indonesia that signed Five documents for Iran- Indonesia cooperation in various fields.
The project for production of Ethan and liquid gas costs 300 million euros.
Its production capacity was estimated at 1.3 million ton of Ethan and one million ton of liquid gas.
The project would be launched in the area of Parsian, Iranian province of Fars.
The 470-million-euro agreement was inked by officials from Iran and Indonesia petrochemical companies.
The joint investment project is to be carried out in Assalouyeh, Bushehr province southern Iran.
The project would be completed within four years since the start of its construction operations.
The production capacity of the project is estimated at 1.7 million ton per year.
