Hamedan,
March 22, IRNA - Tomb of Muslim world's greatest physician, Avicenna, in Hamedan
Province has these days been hosting large number of Iranian and foreign
tourists.
The
tomb's architecture is adapted from the design of an Islamic era historical
monument, the Gonbad Qaboos magnificent masterpiece.
The
masterpiece was established on millennium of Avicenna by National Monuments
Association in 1951.
The most
attractive part of Avicenna Tomb is Avicenna herbal medicine exhibition.
Avicenna
left a medical book, Qanoon, (Law) which has been published several times.
Avicenna's position in the world of Islam is similar to that of Aristotle in
Greece, or Leonardo Davinci in Renaissance and Goethe in Germany.
Avicenna
is also known as Sheikhulreiss and Sheikh al-Ateba.
