Gorgan, March 29, IRNA - Over 23,000 foreign tourists visited Iran during Noruz holidays, Foreign Tourist Promotion Department official said on Saturday.

Director General of Foreign Tourist Promotion Department Mohammad Ali Pakdasht said that tourists from Europe, the Middle East, South East Asia and the American Continent visited Iran during March 16-23.

Pakdasht, who works at the provincial branch of Iran Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization highlighted tourist attractions of the provinces Khorasan Razavi, Isfahan, Fars and Yazd saying that most tourists went to those regions.

"The ICHHTO should guide foreign tourists to go to other tourist attractions in the country such as Golestan province," he said.
