Iran complains to UN about Clinton's Obliteration threat

Meet Keiko!
A poem by Fatemeh Keshavarz

A year after we had met, Keiko died – suddenly – of lung cancer

"I didn't know Keiko smoked!" I said to the teary-eyed friend who brought the news of her death.

"She didn't," he said rather hurriedly, and added after a silence, "she was born in Hiroshima."

Neither of us said much after that.

TEHRAN, May. 02 (ISNA)-Iran has complained to the United Nations over a threatening statement by US Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton that was flagrant violations of UN charter.

Iran condemns such provoking, unwarranted and irresponsible remarks, wrote deputy of Iran's ambassador to UN Mehdi Danesh Yazdi to Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

In this letter he has put a strong emphasis that Iran possesses no weapons of mass destruction including nuclear armaments and reiterated that "Tehran has no intention to attack any other country."

Meanwhile, he asserted that Iran would not hesitate to respond any attack against its nation and would take appropriate measures to defend itself.

Clinton had said "I want the Iranians to know that if I'm the president, we will attack Iran," adding "In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them."
