TEHRAN May 4 (Mehr News Agency) -- A plan to enliven Tehran's girls-only schools is to be implemented this year of Iranian calendar 1387 (started March 20, 2008).
As many as 40 girls-only high schools and junior high schools in Tehran will benefit from the project, advisor to the minister of education Mehri Souizi said recently.
Cosponsored by Tehran Municipality and the general bureau of women affairs related to the Ministry of Education, the plan will be in the first phase implemented in the schools of the southern part of the city.
Based on the plan, the schools are to be provided with wide choices of entertainment, sports and recreational facilities such as table tennis and chessboard as well as gymnastic equipments.
Creating a green atmosphere in the school yards as well as making the walls, windows and fences more colorful are to be carried out under the event, aimed at providing a safe and healthy environment for the future mothers of the society and promoting hijab culture among them.
