DOHA, Qatar, May. 10 (Mehr News Agency)-- Iranian discus thrower Ehsan Hadadi clinched the gold medal on Friday at the 11th Qatar Athletics Super Grand Prix at Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium.

Hadadi threw a world class 67.20 meters and won the championship and became the only Asian participant to win gold.

The Polish and Hungarian competitors finished in second and third place respectively.

Hadadi joins the world's top list in the current year.

He was awarded a cash prize of 30,000$ as well.

His personal best throw is 67.95 meters, achieved on June 9, 2007 in Minsk.
