Darius Shahinfar for Congres
Dear Iranian-Americans and friends,
Within the past several
decades, we the Iranian-Americans have made great strides to see our duly earned
stature recognized with respect to our cultural identify and substantive
contributions in the multiethnic Promised Land: the U.S. of A. Despite the
lingering challenges faced by our community in Diaspora, We have, nonetheless,
taken much pride to enjoy, cherish and promote our historically rich Iranian
culture, heritage and glories, while paving the path to passing on the torch to
our next generations.
The Iranian-Americans have
indeed sustained many grassroots organizations and associations committed to
enriching us with a myriad of cultural events in the areas of Iranian music,
poetry, literature, arts, etc. We have also been fairly successful in advocating
for our civil and constitutional rights, seeking social justice and fighting
against stereotyping and discriminations. Many of these organizations are now
actively engaged in discussing issues of global dimensions such as the human
rights and social awareness.
More specifically, the
Iranian-American Community is increasingly fortunate to benefit from the wise
foresights of several non-partisan political action committees, which provide us
with objective information on the political process and the candidates running
for national and regional offices, so that we exercise our voting franchise
well-informed. That said however, it is the latter endeavor of full empowerment
and participation in the American political process – what we call,
"exploring and conquering the ultimate frontier"-that requires an all out
grassroots engagement and investment.
Dear Iranian-Americans, we
believe the time has arrived and we are well prepared…..
We are well prepared to
identify and promote truly qualified Iranian-American Congressmen and Senators
to serve this great Nation with distinctions.
To fulfill this noble dream we
should support and promote the Iranian-Americans, who have sincere and genuine
political aspirations, prior acumens, and a vision for the country as a whole.
Darius
Shahinfar (www.DariusForCongress.com
) who is running for congress as a Democrat from the 21st
District in Albany NY exemplifies a second generation Iranian-Americans,
deserving our support. He is a sincere and genuine patriotic American with a
clear plan to help steer our nation in the right direction.
