BANGKOK, May 16 (Mehr News Agency)-- After defeating Japanese futsal team on Friday, Iran qualified for the 10th AFC Futsal Championship 2008 final game in Bangkok, Thailand.

The team beat bitter rivals Japan 1-0 with Vahid Shamsaei's first half finish at the Nimibutr Gymnasium. Iran is scheduled to play hosts Thailand, who defeated China 7-3 in the semi-final game, on Saturday in the final.

Iran, Thailand, China and Japan have already secured berths for the World Championship in Brazil later this year following qualifying for the semi-final stage.

The reigning champion Iran has won nine AFC Futsal Championship title out of ten.
