Iran beging importing rice from Pakistan

Zahedan, Sistan-Baluchestan, May 18, IRNA - The import of Pakistani rice started through the southern Pakistani border on Sunday, the Sistan-Baluchestan governor general said.

"The import of Pakistani rice started from Mirjaveh in Zahedan and Sarbaz city," Habibollah Dahmardeh said.

According to him, over 1,000 tons of rice were imported to Iran via Pishin border market in Sarbaz city yesterday.

"The imported rice will be distributed in provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, South Khorasan, Kermanshah, East and West Azerbaijan within the next week," he said.
