Tehran, Nov 7, IRNA - Iran's non-oil exports value to Afghanistan will exceed dlrs one billion as of March 20, 2009, said an Afghan official in charge of trade in Tehran on Friday.
"Real value of Iran's (direct) non-oil exports to Afghanistan is more than twice the current figures. It will reach beyond one billion dollars this year," said Head of the Association of Afghan Traders and Investors Abdulhadi Farhang in an interview with IRNA here on Friday.
Farhang said while Iran's exports to Afghanistan are growing day by day, certain official statistics put volume of the exports at dlrs 500 million.
He said Iran is one of the biggest trade partners of Afghanistan and trade ties between the two countries are times in higher level than those of many other neighbors.
He went on to say that Iran will earn yet more hard currency if facilitates Afghan businesspersons' access to Dubai via its Chabahar and Bandarabbas ports so as to export Afghan goods to other destinations via the Sheikhdom.
