Fifth Persian Cultural Film Festival (previously called ZIFF) is scheduled for 6th and 7th December 2008 at Vancity Theatre, 1181 Seymour Street, Vancouver. The venue is one of the best and luxurious theatre in down town Vancouver
About 30 documentary films on Persian culture, from all over the world, would be screened during this unique event.
Most of the films would be in English or in Persian with English sub-title. Majority of the films are Canadian premier.
There would be three sessions on each day: 4pm, 6pm and 8pm. No film would be shown more than once during these two days.
This is a non-competitive international film festival, however per viewers' choice, the best ones would receive Trophies and the appreciation plaques of the festival.
Tickets can be purchased from the box office of the theatre on the screening days. The ticket for each show costs $6. The festival is run by a registered charity organization in Canada and proceeds of the film festival shall be spent on supporting the amateur film makers on Persian culture subjects.
