The Chancellors of six American universities visited
Isfahan's historical monuments Wednesday, IRNA reported.
They toured Chehelsotoun Complex, Naqsh-e Jahan Square, Sio-Se-Pol, Aali Qapou
Palace, Menar Jonban.
The university
presidents traveling to Iran are: Jared Cohon, Carnegie Mellon University; David
Leebron, Rice University; J. Bernard Machen, University of Florida; C. D. Mote,
Jr., University of Maryland, College Park; David Skorton, Cornell University;
and Larry Vanderhoef, University of California, Davis.
They
arrived in Tehran on Saturday at the invitation of Tehran's Sharif University of
Technology.
They will also visit other edifices in the picturesque city of Isfahan as well
as several universities in Isfahan and
Tehran.
