Iran: Court sentences three convicts to death over mosque bombing in Shiraz


TEHRAN, Nov. 29 (Mehr News Agency) - Tehran Revolutionary Court sentenced the three convicted men to death for involvement in a mosque explosion in southern city of Shiraz, ISNA reported on Saturday.

The bombing occurred in April that killed 14 people and injured 212 others.

Rouzbeh Yahyazadeh, 32, Mohsen Eslamian, 21, and Ali Asghar Pashtar, 20, will be hanged in Shiraz near the mosque where the explosion took place after the Supreme Court upheld their sentences.

In a hearing at Tehran Revolutionary court they had confessed to bombing and also said they had plans to carry out a series of bombings across Iran.
