Tehran,
Nov 30, IRNA - IAEA's Representative to Iran Christer Viktorsson said on Sunday
that the Islamic Republic of Iran is now fully cooperating with IAEA to maintain
safety of Bushehr nuclear power plant.
He made the remark in his address to the First International Seminar on Nuclear
Power Plant, Environment and Sustainable Development in Tehran on Sunday.
Cooperation between IAEA and Iran on the security and safety of Bushehr nuclear

Technical points should be observed in the construction of nuclear power plants,
he said, adding that there are lots of countries in Asia seeking to benefit from
nuclear energy to meet their domestic needs.
Many Asian countries mainly in Southeast Asia as well as in the Middle East
region call for replacement of fossil fuel with nuclear energy and seek to win
support of IAEA to this effect, he said.
IAEA renders any services to meet safety demands during setting up of new
nuclear power plants, he said.
Iran has observed all safety requirements for construction of Bushehr nuclear
power plant, he said.

operating centrifuges in Natanz from 3,800 to about 5,000, he said.

accomplished and the nuclear power plant will become operational next year.
