TEHRAN, October, 03 (ISNA)-Iran's Liquefied Natural Gas Company Managing Director Ali Kheir-Andish expressed hope that agreements for foreign companies' presence in Iran's LNG project would be finalized by the end of 2008.
After conflicts between Georgia and Russia, European companies now seem to be more interested in joining the project, he added.
Most of the companies which declared they are ready for talks have no investment problem; he said adding required efforts are being made to finalize their presence within next three months.
Companies from Austria, the UAE, Germany, China, India, Portugal, Italy and Spain declared they are prepared to join the project and Iran has concluded memorandums of understanding with most of them.
Elsewhere in his remarks Kheir-Andish referred to ways to attract foreign investments and said forward sale of gas is among ways to receive foreign finance in the LNG project.
