TEHRAN, Oct.21 (Mehr News Agency) - Iran's women skiers will take part in the winter Olympic
for the first time.
"Iranian women will participate in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. They
took part in the ski on grass held in Tehran and Lebanon's Asian junior
championship both last year, snatching gold and silver medals," said the
president of the Iranian Ski Federation.
Iranian women are active in many sports fields
Iran had two ski coaches after
Iran's revolution but 500 coaches work in the country at the present, Isa Saveh
Shemshaki added.
The 2010 Olympic Winter Games will be staged in Vancouver and Whistler from
February 12 to 28, 2010.
