Tehran, Sept 7, IRNA - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in Tehran from Beijing, China, Sunday morning. He paid a day-long visit to Beijing to attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games on Saturday.
Upon arrival at the Tehran Mehrabad Airport, the president and his entourage were welcomed by First Vice-President Parviz Davoudi, Government spokesman Gholam-Hossein Elham and several other officials of the country.
During his visit, he discussed major bilateral, regional and international issues with his Chinese counterpart, Hu Jintao.
He also met with the members of Iranian paralympic teams at Beijing's Olympic Village.
President Ahmadinejad conferred with the Iranians residing in China at Beijing's Crown Plaza Hotel.
The president was accompanied by Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and head of Iran's Physical Education Organization Mohammad Aliabadi.
The 13th Paralympic Games will continue until September 17.
Iran's paralympic teams consisted of 73 athletes participated in the contest.
