Iran's national wheelchair basketball team has emerged victorious in its
match against Japan in the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games.
The Iranian side defeated Japan 69-52 in its third match on Tuesday.
Iran earlier beat South Africa 73-62 and won a 92-66 victory over Sweden.
The Iranian outfit is scheduled to face Germany on Wednesday.
The Paralympic Games see 12 basketball teams vying for the gold. Divided into
two pools, the teams compete against each other to determine the top four teams
in each pool that will advance to the elimination round.

sitting volleyball thrashes Egypt
Iran's national sitting volleyball team has managed to win an easy 3-0
victory over Egypt at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics Games.
The Iranian squad defeated Egypt in three consecutive sets (27-25, 25-12 and
25-18) to top its group on Tuesday.
Iran emerged victorious over Japan and Brazil in its first two matches of the
event and will meet the winner of Russia versus Bosnia on Friday.
The Iranian outfit has won the Paralympics gold in sitting volleyball four times
since 1988.
Sitting volleyball teams from Iran, Bosnia, Brazil, China, Egypt, Iraq, Japan
and Russia have taken part in the 2008 Beijing Paralympics Games.
